10:06 / 2024-08-01

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, took part in the Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy held in Bucharest on “Diplomatic Actions in an Unstable World”.

As UzA was informed by the Embassy in Tashkent, before the official opening ceremony of the meeting, President Klaus Iohannis and Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu received members of the diplomatic and consular corps.

Ambassador Daniel Cristian Ciobanu noted that relations between Romania and Uzbekistan are actively developing in all areas. He emphasized that the meeting of the two countries’ foreign ministers, which took place on October 23, 2023, gave a powerful impetus to strengthening cooperation.

An essential moment in the relations in transport was the meeting of the Joint Romanian – Uzbekistan Commission on Road Transport, which took place on March 27-28, 2024, in Bucharest. In the parliamentary sphere, it should be noted that the delegation of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, International Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism R. Alimov, visited Romania to participate in the summer session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which was held from June 29 to July 3 this year.
