Relations between Uzbekistan and Russia continue to develop

Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nuriddin Ismailov, received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, Oleg Malginov, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.

Mr. Ismailov highlighted the Ambassador’s significant contribution to developing and strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Russia and the deepening of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

It was emphasized that with the active participation and assistance of the diplomat, a systematic dialogue and fruitful contacts have been established at various levels, and significant successes have been achieved in the trade-economic sphere.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to further strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, including within the framework of international parliamentary structures.

It was noted with satisfaction that cooperation between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Russia is strengthening yearly. At the same time, the close relations between the two countries’ leaders are essential in increasing mutual trust and further deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation.

It was also noted that the Interparliamentary Commission for Cooperation between the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation contributes to strengthening interparliamentary ties.
