Relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan rise to a new level

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov received the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev.

The parties discussed the ways to deepen relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan with an emphasis on cooperation in the economy and water energy, as well as issues of implementing agreements reached during the visit of the Government delegation of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan.

An agreement was reached to organize mutual visits of responsible ministries and agencies of the two countries to develop new projects of industrial cooperation and trade contracts. Issues of enhancing industrial collaboration in the production of agricultural machinery, vehicles and other industries were discussed.

Work has been carried out on the issues related to the implementation of joint projects in transport and infrastructure. Joint measures have been developed to develop new transport and logistics routes running through the territory of the two countries.

Following the event, the parties defined joint plans aimed at further cooperation in all the areas of interaction considered.
