Hokim of Bukhara region Botir Zaripov received Tamara Kovziridze, Senior Director and Partner at Reformatics, and Otar Berdzenishvili, a diplomat who held several senior positions in the Georgian Foreign Ministry and other government agencies.

Hokim of the region provided the guests with detailed information about the millennia-old history and modern socio-economic life of Bukhara, its huge tourist potential, opportunities, and benefits created for foreign investors.

In turn, the foreign experts, expressing gratitude to Botir Zaripov for the warm welcome and hospitality, stressed that this constructive dialogue will help strengthen relations between the parties. Special attention was paid to comprehensively demonstrating the tourism potential of the region, which has a rich historical heritage, and discussing promising projects related to its future sustainable development.

On behalf of the Head of State, about ten visits were made to Uzbekistan by representatives of the Reformatics. As a result, proposals were developed to form a tourist infrastructure, create new tourist products, and improve the quality of services. Based on the conducted studies, two interim reports were also presented on nine areas of the draft Strategy for the development of tourism in Uzbekistan until 2040.

The purpose of the company’s experts’ next visit to Uzbekistan is to deliver creative presentations on large-scale tourism projects in the region, explore opportunities for international cooperation, and discuss measures aimed at developing the sphere.
