A regular meeting of the 1st Karakalpak District Commission for holding a referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place.

The participants considered the issue of approving the composition of precinct commissions for holding a referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Karakalpakstan. It was noted that Article 16 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan” determines the procedure and norm for the formation of referendum sites.

The participants discussed the issue of creation, following the proposal of hokims of the cities and districts of Nukus, sites for the referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as activities that need to be implemented under the work plan. After discussions, 653 polling stations were formed for holding a referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Karakalpakstan, and an appropriate decision was made.

By the agenda of the meeting, instructions were given to publish information in the local press indicating the composition, addresses and telephone numbers of precinct referendum commissions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as to submit the relevant decision to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
