The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahim Saidzoda and the rectors of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan universities visited Samarkand.

They got acquainted with the activities of Samarkand State University named after Sharaf Rashidov. The Rector of the University, Professor Rustam Kholmurodov, informed the guests about the work carried out and the measures taken to improve the educational process, and introduced them to the material and technical base of the University.

The guests visited the archaeological and zoological museums at the University and the Institute of Biochemistry. They were particularly interested in the laboratory named after Nobel Prize laureate Aziz Sanjar. They also visited the sights of Samarkand.
