Rectors discuss cooperation prospects

The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a videoconference with leadership of Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) of Israel, Bukhara State University (BSU) and Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET), Uzbekistan MFA reports.
President of HIT Eduard Yakubov, Rector of BSU Obidjon Khamidov and Rector of BIET Nusratullo Barakayev discussed the issues of cooperation between universities of the two countries, outlined the priority directions of future partnership, including the exchange of teachers and students, training in in-demand disciplines, introduction of information technologies and modern teaching methods in pedagogical process.
An agreement was reached on that the representative delegation of HIT will visit Bukhara in May, 2019 to get acquainted with activities of BSU and BIET, holding the first joint scientific-practical conference STEMM (science, technology, education, mathematics and medicine).
In addition, during the visit, the parties are expected to agree on the opening of a joint faculty on the basis of BSU, which will teach, including with the involvement of Israeli teachers, such disciplines as applied mathematics, industrial design, advanced technology and methodology in educational activities.
With the assistance of HIT in BIET, it is planned to develop and implement a training program for in-depth training of specialists in the sphere of information technology, engineering, rational and alternative energy and electrical engineering.
HIT invited BSU to attend “Harmonious analysis and equation of partial derivatives” international mathematics conference, which will be held in Israel on May 26-31 with participation of representatives of leading educational institutions of Israel, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and other countries.
Following the meeting, Eduard Yakubov invited his colleagues from BSU and BIET to visit Holon Institute of Technology to get acquainted with activities of its faculties and further strengthen interuniversity relations.
