Reception held in Tashkent to mark Azerbaijan’s Victory Day

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev held a reception in Tashkent to mark Azerbaijan’s Victory Day.

The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov, members of parliament, government members, ambassadors, and diplomats, representatives of international organizations, military attachés, scientists, cultural and artistic figures, journalists, and members of the Azerbaijani diaspora.

First, the participants viewed a photo exhibition – a visual representation of the history and achievements of the Azerbaijani people, emphasizing the significance of Victory Day.

After the performance of the two countries’ national anthems, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev welcomed the guests and spoke about the significance of the holiday.

The diplomat expressed profound gratitude to the state and people of Uzbekistan for their support during the war, which strengthened the fraternal relations between the two nations.

The artistic program of the event included performances by People’s Artists of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Farrukh Zakirov and Gulyanag Mammadova, who performed famous Azerbaijani and Uzbek songs. The audience greeted them with endless applause.
