A delegation led by the First Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan Football Association Ravshan Irmatov arrived in Karshi to select a suitable region for the finals of the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup.

Uzbekistan’s Kashkadarya region is one of the candidate cities for the Asian Cup.

The delegation inspected conditions in the city’s stadiums, training grounds and hotels.

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, large-scale activities are being carried out to hold AFC U-23 Asian Cup at a high level.

Representatives of Uzbekistan Football Association will get acquainted with the existing infrastructure in several cities of the country to increase and develop the popularity of football in the regions.

The host cities and stadiums will be approved by agreement with the Asian Football Confederation.

According to the schedule of the AFC, the games will be held on 1-19 June.
