FIFA referee from Uzbekistan Ravshan Ermatov has received one of the prestigious awards in football world- Globe Soccer Awards.

In the Globe Soccer Awards -2015 ceremony n Dubai, he was named the best referee along with winners in various categories.

A significant attention to development of sports, in particular, of football, under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, has been yielding its results. Radical reforms in these sports have been carried out in the last years in Uzbekistan. Today children's football schools, specialists boarding schools and football academies operate in our country. Modern new stadiums, meeting the world standards, are being built and old ones are being reconstructed, mass-scale works on strengthening training of footballers, able to decently represent the country in international arenas, talented coaches and referees.

As a result of the measures in this direction, a significant results have been attained in Uzbek football. Ravshan Ermatov's achievements in international sports arena is another vivid demonstration.

Ravshan Ermatov, participating in FIFA competitions since 2003, has refeered in all prestigious international football tournaments. Five times, in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2014 he has been named the best referee in Asia. In 2011 he was named as one of the best football referees of the year by FIFA.

Ermatov's participation in World football cup's in 2010 in South Africa and in 2014 in Brazil has been a big achievement in Uzbek sports. Uzbek referee has refereed the opening match of the world cup and four more matches in 2010 and demonstrated the potential of Uzbek sportsmen. In 2014 World Cup in Brazil he refereed four matches. Having refereed 9 matches in world cups, Ravshan Ermatov has set a world record.

In accordance with the decrees of President Islam Karimov, he was awarded honorary title "Uzbekiston iftikhori" in 2010, and the order "El-yurt hurmati" in 2014.
