Ramiz Usmanov, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, Director of the State Academic Grand Theater of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi, became the winner of the Stars of the Commonwealth Award, one of the most prestigious interstate awards of the CIS countries for 2021.

The award is annually awarded to representatives of the Commonwealth states for the most significant achievements in humanitarian activities, corresponding to the level of global achievements and contributing to the development of each of the CIS member states and the Commonwealth as a whole.

Ramiz Usmanov’s repertoire includes famous opera pieces. These are Nadir from G. Bizet’s opera The Pearl Fishers, Alfred from G. Verdi’s opera La Traviata, Duke from G. Verdi’s opera Rigoletto, Rudolph from G. Puccini’s opera La bohème, Cavaradossi from the opera Tosca, Manrico from G. Verdi’s opera Il trovatore.

Ramiz Beknazarovich, in 2012, received the Grand Prix at the B. Tulegenova competition in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

In 2013, he took second place at the International Competition “Competizione dell`Opera” in Austria.

In 2014, he received the Grand Prix at the Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition.

In 2015, he was awarded the title of People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
