Raj Kapoor’s statue handed over to Uzbekistan

The Indian delegation attended the Pearl of the Silk Road Tashkent International Film Festival, organized by the Cinematography Agency.

A special show concert with the participation of Indian guests was held at the Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace.

Mithun Chakraborty, Boman Irani, Kunal Kapoor, Nawab Shah, Randhir Kapoor and other movie stars took the stage and shared their impressions.

A statue of the legendary Indian film star Raj Kapoor was brought to the stage, with the participation of the Director General of the Cinematography Agency Firdavs Abdukhalikov and Indian actor Randhir Kapoor. The statue was handed over as a sign of respect to the Kapoor dynasty of Uzbekistan people.

Indian cinema has a special place not only in Asia but also in the global film industry. India is one of the world’s leading film exporters. On average, more than a thousand films are shot here a year, films are shown in more than 90 countries around the world.

The stars of Indian cinema are organizing master classes, creative meetings and roundtable discussions.
