Radiation control devices delivered to Samarkand
Central Asia Counter Nuclear Smuggling Conference in the C5+1 format has kicked off in Samarkand.
Representatives of radiation safety organizations from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the United States are taking part in the conference. C5+1 is a relevant mechanism for regular dialogue between Central Asian countries and the United States.
As part of the event, a ceremony was held to hand over the devices donated to the border customs post of Samarkand International Airport for detecting and measuring radioactive radiation.
