The tournament, conducted on the Swiss system in seven rounds, was attended by about 60 boys and girls. According to the rules of the tournament, players who have won first and second places in their age categories will be permitted to participate in the semi-finals of the national championship, which will be held in December this year.
In the competition among players under 8 years, six participants scored five points. On the basis of additional indicators the first three prize-winning places were taken by chess players from the capital - Shamsiddin Sayid Usmon, Abdulla Juraev and Saidnazar Nematjonov.
Among the chess players under 10 years the victory was won by Umarhon Fahriddinhodjaev from the capital, accumulated seven points. His team-mate Foziljon Buzruhodjaev with 5.5 points ranked second, Nozima Dilmurodova from Fergana region with 4.5 points - third place.
In the competition among chess players 12-16 years, all the prizes also went to chess players from the capital. Abduzafar Abdumalikov with 6 points became the winner, second place went to Kamronbek Koraboev with 5.5 points, and third place was taken by Bobur Bobohodjaev with 5 points.
