Qoraqalpoghiston Republic phase of “Young farmer -2017” contest takes place
In Nukus, the Qoraqalpoghiston Republic phase of the “Young farmer -2017” contest has taken place. The contest was arranged by the movement of entrepreneurs and businessmen – The Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP) in cooperation with the council of farmers, peasants’ holdings and homestead owners and the Commerce and Industry Chamber of the country.
In Nukus, the Qoraqalpoghiston Republic phase of the “Young farmer -2017” contest has taken place. The contest was arranged by the movement of entrepreneurs and businessmen – The Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP) in cooperation with the council of farmers, peasants’ holdings and homestead owners and the Commerce and Industry Chamber of the country.Special attention being paid to developing farming and providing comprehensive support for farms’ work serves to increase the production of agricultural products in the country and to raise the living standards of the population.
At this contest, 13 participants’ projects to increase economic productivity at farms, to create new jobs and to develop their areas’ infrastructure were evaluated fairly.
Also, farmers’ knowledge about farms’ economic management, accountancy, rights and the use of information communication technologies were tested.
Orolboy Joldasov, the chief of the “Dauil kol” farm in Qoraozak District, achieved first place and obtained the right to participate in the republican phase of the contest.
Rustam Seydullayev, the chief of the “Abiy Otep” farm in Qanlikol District, and Nazlimhon Abdijabborov, the chief of the “Guliston” farm in Qoraozak District, took second place and third place respectively.
“These kinds of contests prompt us, young people, to learn to work harder. Our farm was established in the year 2014. It has 130 hectares of land, of which 85 hectares are used for farming. This year, we fulfilled our wheat and cotton production contractual obligations to 120 per cent,” says the winner of the Qoraqalpoghiston phase of the contest, Orolboy Joldasov, the chief of the “Dauil kol” farm.
As part of the contest, there was an exhibition of agricultural products produced by young farmers. Specialists gave information about the establishment of family enterprises specializing in farming and about the local insurance market’s role in the development of private entrepreneurship.
