An international youth conference titled “Public diplomacy in action: opportunities and prospects for the younger generation” was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, organized in cooperation with the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan and the Regional Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Central Asia.
The conference aimed to discuss new directions and practical tools for developing public diplomacy with the active participation of youth, as well as to formulate concrete proposals and recommendations on issues related to education, innovation, environmental and social projects, digital communications, and the expansion of the role of women and parliamentarians in strengthening international dialogue.

The event brought together representatives of youth organizations, young scholars, researchers, members of parliament, cultural and artistic figures, and youth policy activists from Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
During the conference, participants discussed the role and responsibility of youth in modern international communication, new forms of diplomatic engagement in the digital era, and the development of cooperation platforms.

In addition, new directions and mechanisms for the development of public diplomacy with the participation of young people were considered. Participants put forward specific proposals to expand cooperation in the fields of education, innovation, environmental protection, social initiatives, and digital communications, as well as to enhance the role of women and parliamentarians in international dialogue.

As part of the conference, six memorandums of cooperation were signed between youth organizations of Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries. The documents provide for the implementation of joint youth projects, exchange of experience, the organization of collaborative programs, and the promotion of intercultural dialogue.
