A delegation of Uzbekistan consisting of the hokims of the cities of Kokand, Navoi, Kattakurgan, Termez, and Davlatabad district under the leadership of the Chairman of the “Yuksalish” Nationwide Movement Bobur Bekmurodov visits Türkiye.

The purpose of the visit is the participation of the member states of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities in the program to exchange experience and knowledge for representatives of local authorities in Uzbekistan.

On September 4, a Protocol on Sister Cities was signed between the municipality of Balıkesir and the city of Kokand.

The document provides for the establishment of friendly ties between the cities, the promotion of history and traditions, the development of cooperation in the socio-economic sphere, and the implementation of joint projects in various directions.

“The status of Kokand and Balıkesir as sister cities will help strengthen international relations, expand cultural and historical knowledge, strengthen relations between business representatives, cultural and art workers, the academic community and, in general, between citizens”, the “Yuksalish” Nationwide Movement reports.
