Prospects of expanding economic cooperation with Israel are discussed

On July 31, 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Said Rustamov held talks with Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the State of Israel Shay Rinsky and Foreign Trade Administration Director at the Ministry Ohad Cohen.
Issues of trade-economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Israel, prospects for further expansion of partnership in various fields – from agriculture to high technology were discussed at the meeting.
The parties noted that Israel business circles are showing growing interest in entering the market of Uzbekistan, which, in particular, was demonstrated by bilateral agribusiness forums held in May 2019 in Tashkent and Bukhara.
An agreement was reached to intensify interdepartmental cooperation, including in terms of mutual visits, as well as organization of bilateral events, especially the first meeting of Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic, investment and scientific-technical cooperation.
