Uzbekistan delegation took part in the meeting of the Regional Coordination Mechanism in labor migration, in Almaty.
According to the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the head of the Information and Multimedia Resource Department of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kamila Olimova took part in the event.
The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects for the implementation of the Labor Migration Program in Central Asia, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in labor migration. Views were exchanged on the need to implement the project of the Department of Labor Mobility and Social Integration in the region. Practical proposals were developed in this regard.
The National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan decided to develop proposals to improve the legal framework for strengthening the rights of migrant workers from Uzbekistan, guaranteeing their legal protection before and after legal employment. It was proposed to organize advanced training courses for employees of public and private recruitment agencies, research on the rights of migrants, including within the framework of the programs of the International Organization for Migration.
