Ambassador of Uzbekistan Said Rustamov has met with the leadership of the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) of the UK.

The British side praised the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, in particular the government’s emphasis on education and innovative agriculture. The interest in establishing long-term academic cooperation between RAU and Uzbekistan was confirmed, including training specialists in the agricultural sector.

The parties discussed the issue of implementing a project to open an International Agricultural University in Tashkent together with the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan. It is also planned to train specialists in such areas as smart agriculture, agricultural technologies, sustainable animal husbandry and international business management.
