Prospects for the development of arbitration institutions

Tashkent hosted a conference on “Prospects for the development of arbitration institutions”, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

The event is aimed at improving the activities of the institutions of arbitration courts in Uzbekistan, familiarizing with the system of their decisions and optimizing the process of their execution in Uzbekistan, as well as in foreign countries.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Islam Jasimov, as well as a researcher at the regional branch of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Central Asia Aziz Tatibayev addressed the event. The changes taking place in Uzbekistan’s judicial system in recent years were highlighted and the activities of 15 arbitration courts established at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry received a positive assessment.

The legal status, interaction of arbitration courts with courts, recognition and enforcement of decisions of arbitration courts in Uzbekistan and abroad were also discussed at the meeting. Experts expressed opinions on financing the activities of arbitration courts by third parties.
