Director of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) Javlon Vakhabov held a virtual meeting with the Rector of the Institute of International Relations Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev and the Director of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Shiri Shiriyev.

At the meeting, attention was focused on priority areas for strengthening partnerships and developing interaction on key aspects of bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

“Thanks to the determination of the leaders of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, cooperation between the two countries has reached a significantly new level. The policy of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation, especially deserves praise”, Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev emphasized.

At the meeting, the International Institute for Central Asia’s proposal to hold a joint scientific conference in Tashkent dedicated to the anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi was supported.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue active interaction between the International Institute for Central Asia and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in accordance with the cooperation agreement signed in 2022.
