According to the Corporation’s estimates for 2020, Uzbekistan has made significant progress, in particular in terms of fiscal policy, access to credit, facilitated procedures for starting and running a business, expenditures on healthcare, immunization and child health.
At the same time, according to representatives of the Corporation, the country has the opportunity to improve indicators on political and civil liberties, the fight against corruption and the rule of law. It was emphasized that it is necessary to provide data on the costs of the preschool education system in UNESCO for improving the country’s position in terms of “investing in human capital”.
In case of improvement of indicators according to three basic criteria for assessing economic freedoms, equitable public administration and investing in human capital, countries can apply for financial and technical assistance programs of the Corporation.
