Prospects for inclusive education in Uzbekistan discussed

An international scientific and practical conference titled “Inclusive education and sustainable development” was held in Tashkent. The event was organized by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with UNICEF.

In his welcoming remarks, Deputy Minister Farkhod Bokiyev highlighted ongoing efforts and the importance of international cooperation for developing an inclusive educational environment.

The event brought together teachers, psychologists, methodologists, and other specialists in the field.

Participants discussed the emerging system of inclusive education in Uzbekistan, including its structure, methods and forms of work, mechanisms for pedagogical and psychological support, issues of personnel training, and electronic information exchange.

Special attention was given to the current state of scientific research and prospects for improving methodological support.

Following the conference, further steps were outlined to strengthen the national system of inclusive education and expand opportunities for all children, regardless of their educational needs.
