Uzbekistan's Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov has held a virtual meeting with the Head of Department for South and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Mohammad Azhar bin Mazlan.

The current state and prospects for further development of Uzbekistan – Malaysia cooperation in the context of the pandemic were discussed at the meeting.

Special attention was paid to the issues of intensifying political dialogue at the highest levels, enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation, diversifying cooperation in trade-economic and investment spheres, as well as strengthening cultural-humanitarian cooperation, in particular in education and advanced training of civil servants from Uzbekistan.

The parties agreed to continue diplomatic contacts to discuss practical steps to implement the existing significant potential for enhancing cooperation in the above-mentioned areas.
