Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Babayev has met with the leadership of the Association of Polish textile companies.

The Polish side informed that approximately 40% of all textile companies belonging to the Association import textile products from Uzbekistan.

It was noted that trade and economic relations between the two countries are enhancing, and Poland is increasingly playing the role of a bridge for the supply of textile and other goods to the European market. Despite the increase in world prices for cotton products by about 6% compared to November 2020, the high quality of products and the responsibility of Uzbekistan partners is an important incentive for further exchanges.

The parties drew attention to the expediency of promoting the products of Uzbekistan light industry enterprises under direct contracts through trading houses in Poland.
