Prospects for deepening interregional cooperation with St. Petersburg outlined

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov received a delegation consisting of the leadership of the administration of Saint Petersburg and leading Saint Petersburg companies, led by the Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of Saint Petersburg Evgeny Grigoriev.

The parties discussed the prospects for establishing interregional cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, interaction in labor migration, as well as preparations for joint events.

The possibilities of cooperation within the framework of the activities of the “Project Office”, created between the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, were considered.

The course of preparation for participation in Second Uzbekistan – Russian Forum of Interregional Cooperation, carried out by the administration of Saint Petersburg, together with the hokimiyats of Tashkent and Samarkand region, was studied.
