Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, Jacek Tomczak.

The parties discussed developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries.

It was noted that Uzbekistan is an important, promising, and long-term partner of Poland in the Central Asian region, and the Polish side is interested in further enhancing the mutually beneficial partnership in trade, economic, and investment spheres.

It should be noted that, according to the Statistics Agency under the President of Uzbekistan, the trade turnover with Poland in 2023 amounted to $400.5 million, of which exports were $88.9 million and imports amounted to $311.6 million.

The parties focused on attracting Polish investment and advanced technologies in the mining, textile, and pharmaceutical industries.

Issues of facilitating the entry of citizens of Uzbekistan into the Polish labor market, particularly the development of an appropriate bilateral agreement, were also discussed.
