Prospects and Plans for Digital Tashkent
09:25 / 2021-05-25

A press conference on this theme was held by the Hokimiyat of the city of Tashkent.

At the event, information was provided on the activities carried out within the framework of the resolution of the President “On measures for the widespread introduction of digital technologies in the city of Tashkent” of March 17, 2020 and the Digital Tashkent program.

The main tasks are the creation and integration of more than 30 information systems into a single platform. These tasks are carried out by the Digital Development Department under the Hokimiyat.

It was noted that fiber-optic communication lines were laid in 316 schools, 463 preschool education institutions, 167 healthcare institutions and 524 citizens’ assemblies of mahallas.

9 billion UZS was allocated from the budget to fully launch and effectively use the information systems “Unified Electronic Medical Record”, “Electronic Polyclinic”, “Electronic Prescription” and “Laboratory”, improve the material and technical support of all capital medical institutions, equip them with modern computers and other technical means.

“A geographical information and analytical system of the city of Tashkent was created based on foreign experience”, says Sherzod Nortojiyev, Deputy Director of the Digital Development Department.

A unified information system “My House” is being developed together with the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services. It will provide data on communal services and ensure electronic interaction with such services. The system is planned to be launched in test mode in July this year.
