The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development is actively working on promotion of tourism potential and recognition of the country abroad.
On March 20-25, representative of the State Committee for Tourism Development attended a number of events in Mongolia, aimed at development of bilateral friendly relations in the sphere of economy, culture and tourism.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia hosted a roundtable discussion on “The role of people's diplomacy in development and strengthening of friendly relations between Mongolia and Uzbekistan”.
Employees of the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism, Institute for Strategic Studies of the National Security Council, Academy of Sciences, Institute of International Relations, Peace and Friendship Organization, Mongolian Friends’ Association, Mongolia – Uzbekistan Friendship Society, as well as private tourism organizations attended this event from the Mongolian side.
Uzbekistan’s tourism potential was presented during the event. Participants were informed about reforms in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector. They became interested in opportunities for development of various types of Uzbekistan’s tourism, in particular educational, gastronomic, archaeological and cultural tourism.
