In 2019, USAID and the Agency for the Development of Pharmaceutical Industry signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the implementation of the program Promoting the Quality of Medicines Plus (PQM+). To ensure its implementation, an agreement was reached on cooperation in several areas.
As part of this cooperation, USAID representatives met with employees of several departments of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Issues of standard operating processes, the full development of a quality management system and the principles of its implementation, as well as maintenance were considered at the meeting.
Employees of the Licensing and Control Department, as well as GMP inspectors discussed the situation in the current system, the application and licensing processes, the identification of quality defects and the revocation of licenses, analyzed the results of recent inspections conducted by inspectors.
The indicators of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) were also discussed with representatives of the Pharmaceutical Inspection.
A meeting of the Agency's leadership was also held with USAID representatives, during which important issues and prospects for cooperation were discussed.
