Uzbekistan hosts the 9th International Exhibition “Textile and Fashion Industry – UzTextileExpo Autumn 2024”.
According to Oyimkhon Bobojonova, Deputy Director General of the Iteca Exhibition, one of the key objectives of the exhibition is to support domestic manufacturers of textile and clothing products, promote exports and the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand in world markets.
“An important element of this strategy is the traditional Buyer’s program, which provides potential buyers from near and far abroad countries with a unique opportunity to establish business contacts with manufacturers and suppliers of textile and clothing products”, says Ms. Bobojonova. “The program was first launched in Uzbekistan at this exhibition in 2011”.
This year, over 70 domestic companies presented their products at the exhibition. Here are yarn, fabrics, knitwear, clothes for all ages, home textiles, and much more. Foreign buyers are particularly interested in the event: more than 200 companies from different countries arrived to establish partnerships and assess the capabilities of Uzbekistan as a major supplier with a market of 38 million people. A special platform has been organized to facilitate business meetings at maximum convenience. The Iteca Connect application is available, which provides complete information about exhibiting companies, helps navigate the exhibition using an interactive map, and also allows one to schedule meetings in advance, plan visits, and receive personal tickets.
More than 100 companies and brands from six countries are participating in the exhibition.
