Agriculture is one of the drivers of the development of Uzbekistan and forms its food supply. One of the promising branches of agriculture is fish farming.

The fishing industry in Uzbekistan is developing at an accelerated pace.

By the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to further improve state policy in science and public administration in innovative development” of April 1, 2021, this year Dustlik district of Jizzakh region will be transformed into an innovative district in fish farming. For these purposes, a start-up project for the cultivation and processing of fish products with a total cost of 2 billion 300 million UZS was financed, which is planned to be implemented in LLC SHERTRADE of the district.

“Within the framework of this project, the raw material base of the fishery will be harvested in local conditions”, said Mansur Musayev, a responsible employee of Jizzakh Regional Department of Innovative Development. – The production of new samples and a range of technology products from fish will be established. Fish oil and products with vitamins A, B, E will be supplied not only to Jizzakh region, but also to neighboring regions. A high-quality national brand will be created that meets international standards. An opportunity has been created for exporting products abroad, and an online delivery system will be introduced.
