Professors from Uzbekistan attend an international conference in Baku
21:35 / 2025-11-15

An international scientific-practical conference was held in Baku in cooperation with the Social Research Center (SRC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Faculty of Law of Istanbul University.

It is known that 2025 has been declared the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty in the Republic of Azerbaijan. This initiative, which reflects profound respect and devotion to the principles of state independence, national identity, and the rule of law, once again emphasizes the exceptional role of the Constitution in the life of the state and society, contributing to strengthening legal culture, the enhancement of civic responsibility, and the development of a sense of pride in national symbols.

The prestigious event, with a global significance, was dedicated to the theme “State sovereignty and national constitutions in the 21st century: global challenges, trends and prospects”. It was attended by legal scholars, sociologists, and political scientists from 19 countries, underscoring its international reach and impact.

As noted at the conference, conducting a sociological analysis of the constitutions of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan based on the concepts of national identity and statehood is of significant importance. In the fundamental laws of both countries, family, culture, and language are recognized as the highest values. Indeed, they serve as key factors determining state stability and the moral strength of society, as well as a solid bridge connecting present and future generations.

A group of professors from Uzbekistan also took an active part in the event, expressing their gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to engage in productive dialogue and to exchange experiences.
