A delegation from the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the LOGODI Global Forum 2025, organized on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Local Government Officials Development Institute under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea (LOGODI).

The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by representatives from approximately 15 foreign countries, the Minister of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea, government officials, representatives from international organizations, staff from foreign embassies, and leading university representatives.

In his speech, Rector of the Academy Jasur Salikhov highlighted the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan to improve the qualifications of civil servants, including the priority tasks defined by the Presidential Decree of May 5, 2025.

Within the framework of the forum, an official meeting was held with LOGODI leadership. The discussions focused on training and retraining local government officials, launching joint educational programs, conducting scientific research, and implementing targeted projects. The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding. An agreement was also reached regarding a visit to the Academy in November this year, as well as the approval of roadmaps.

The delegation visited one of Korea’s leading universities – Jeonbuk National University. At a meeting with the university’s president, Professor Yang O-bong, the parties reviewed activities and projects in the field of artificial intelligence and reached an agreement to hold a meeting in Uzbekistan in October 2025.

During discussions with Huck-ju Kwon, President of Korea Institute of Public Administration (KIPA), the parties addressed the development of a roadmap for joint research involving the academy’s structural units and centers, the organization of international conferences and roundtables for master’s students, as well as the launch of short-term advanced training programs for researchers in Korea.

A meeting was also held at the National Human Resources Development Institute of Korea (NHI). The delegation familiarized itself with the institute’s infrastructure, and the parties reached an agreement on the implementation of joint educational programs, outlining a phased introduction of these programs in October-November 2025.
