At the event, organized in connection with this, was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in our country, “Uzeltehsanoat” JSC, "Samsung Electronics" Representative Office in Uzbekistan and journalists.

Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan Kwon Yong Woo, Head of "Samsung Electronics" Representative Office in Uzbekistan Min Shin Woong, and others noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea is gradually developed in all spheres. The State visit by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to the Republic of Korea, in May 2015, brought bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level. The documents signed during the visit in the trade-economic, investment, financial, technical and other fields serve the interests of our peoples.

During the visit, both sides agreed to implement together with the “Samsung Electronics” company the project for the production of modern refrigerators. For this purpose, the SP LLC “Polaris Technologies”, producing refrigerators under the brand “Artel” and involved in the structure of “Uzeltehsanoat” JSC, was equipped with modern equipment from South Korea, Japan, Italy and China. Work on the installation and commissioning is provided by experts of the “Samsung Electronics” company.

As result of the realization of the project total cost of $ 4 million - in Uzbekistan launched production of four types of modern refrigerators under the brand name “Samsung”.

More than forty new workplaces were created as a result of engagement of new production line. Most of them are occupied by graduates of professional colleges.

By the end of this year is scheduled the release of 6 thousand refrigerators. In order to increase exports is planned to active use of “Samsung Electronics” distribution networks.
