The meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev continues.

A system will be introduced, thanks to which hokims of regions, districts and cities will meet once a week with tour operators, representatives of hotels and sanatoriums to solve their problems.

In recent years, 6 out of 11 pressing problems in the tourism sector have been resolved:

1) liberalization of the issuance of tourist visas has been carried out;

2) queues and checks at airports have been eliminated, green corridors have been introduced, and favorable conditions have been created at railway stations;

3) guests are registered online, and all conditions have been created for their free movement;

4) restrictions on currency exchange have been lifted;

5) the number of guest places has tripled and reached 125,000 (in 2017, this figure was 37,000);

6) the rates of social tax and value-added tax for tourism enterprises are set at one percent, the rates of land tax and property tax are reduced to 90 percent.
