The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation led by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Khodzhayev.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it was noted with satisfaction that relations between the two countries in healthcare have recently intensified significantly.

In particular, in November last year, the Uzbekistan – Belarus Healthcare and Medical Education Days were held in Uzbekistan, and the Uzbekistan – Belarus Medical Forum was held in Minsk.

At the meeting, promising directions for further developing bilateral cooperation were discussed.

Views were exchanged on the implementation of achievements of Belarus in neonatology and pediatric intensive care.

An agreement was reached to enhance collaboration in cardiology, oncology, pediatric oncohematology, traumatology and orthopedics, transplantology, prevention of non-communicable diseases, immunization of the population, and rehabilitation.

The parties discussed further enhancing the partnership in the pharmaceutical field, including localizing the production of blood plasma-based drugs in Uzbekistan and supplying modern dialyzers to medical institutions.
