During the four plenary sessions of the Senate, 5 laws related to activities of this committee were considered. When discussing each law, opinions and proposals of citizens, senators working at places were taken into account.

Working with citizens’ appeals is another important direction in committee’s activities. Its members received over 5,900 appeals from individuals and legal entities, senators received more than 14,600 citizens, 492 meetings with the population were held. In 2018, the committee received more than 679 appeals. They mainly related to activities of internal affairs bodies, local state governing bodies and the military sphere. Over 230 requests received positive decisions in state bodies.

Priorities of the committee in 2019 were considered at the event.

In particular, special attention will be paid to implementation of tasks in the sphere of security, interethnic harmony and religious tolerance, directly related to the activities of the committee.

Implementation of the Law “On State Customs Service” and other legislative acts aimed at improving customs control, including its forms, methods and introduction of modern technical equipment at posts of Tashkent Regional Department of the State Customs Committee will be studied. At the meetings of the committee, information of the Minister of Internal Affairs on the state of crime prevention will be heard.
