Tashkent hosted a press conference dedicated to the next congress of the International Fencing Federation.
The conference was attended by the Secretary-treasurer of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) Ferial Nadira Salhi, and brief information about the past congress was presented.
In particular, it was noted that the congress was organized at a high level. 280 experts from 137 countries attended this event, and the work carried out by the International Fencing Federation in recent years was reviewed. Plans for the future were discussed.
It was noted that the states were selected to host prestigious fencing competitions in the coming years, and complete information about the hosts of the prestigious competitions will be provided soon.
Also, at the press conference, the main event on the forum’s agenda was emphasized – Russian businessman Alisher Usmanov was elected President of the International Fencing Federation with 120 votes. It was noted that this will contribute to the further popularization of fencing throughout the world and the further development of FIE activities.
