Press-centre is ready for the summit
On 23-24 June a meeting of the Heads of State Council of the SCO will take place in Tashkent. Within the framework of Uzbekistan’s presidency in the SCO wide-scale preparatory works are underway before the summit.

Within the framework of Uzbekistan’s presidency in the SCO wide-scale preparatory works are underway before the summit.Approximately 200 representatives of mass media from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, India, Pakistan, Belarus, Iran, Mongolia and other countries and around 200 journalists from our country will report about the SCO summit in Tashkent during these days.
The increasing role and authority of the SCO on international stage, effectiveness of its activity raises a huge interest in the whole world. This is confirmed by the fact that representatives of mass media, leading international agencies, internet portals and TV channels of not only SCO member-states, observer-states and dialogue partners and guest countries, but also of many other countries have expressed their plans to cover the Tashkent summit.
An international press-centre with all conditions has been established at the UzExpoCentre in order to ensure wide, quality and prompt coverage of the summit events. This centre, where journalists will work during the summit days, is equipped with modern technics, meeting the highest requirements, electronic stands, computers, printers, copy machines, telephones and other equipment, and internet connection via high-speed Wi-Fi and fixed lines is available.
All necessary conditions for full-scale and effective journalism on the eve and during the summit is created at the press-centre.
