Mr. Asadov briefed the participants about the activities of the Head of the state over the past week.

On July 18 this year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a videoconference on the effective use of sown areas and household plots transferred to the population.

On July 21, the Head of the state signed the Decree “On the termination of the state of emergency in the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan”, which happened ahead of schedule.

Last week was rich in events and meetings of international scale, friendly dialogues with neighboring countries.

On 20-21 July, the President visited the city of Cholpon-Ata of Kyrgyzstan, and took part in the Fourth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.

On July 19, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and the Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sorena Sattari.

On Sunday, the President held telephone conversations with leaders of CIS, Central Asia and Turkey.

During the talks, the leaders of foreign states congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday and talked about the further development of bilateral ties.

It should be emphasized that thanks to the open and pragmatic foreign policy of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the authority of Uzbekistan in the international arena is growing. The world highly recognizes the initiatives and aspirations of the President of Uzbekistan on an international scale.

For great merits in strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Russia, the President of the Russian Federation awarded Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Order of Alexander Nevsky.

At the briefing, journalists were informed about the expected important events this week with the participation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In particular, it is planned to hold a videoconference on the introduction of information technologies in industries and regions, on priority tasks for the future and ongoing work in this direction.

On July 28-29, a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO Member States will be held in Tashkent. A meeting of the President with the ministers of foreign affairs of this organization is planned.

An International Conference on Afghanistan will be held in Tashkent on July 25-26. Delegations from more than 20 countries will take part in it. The President is expected to address the event.
