President’s order in action: An agro-logistics complex will start functioning in Jizzakh
11:34 / 2023-09-04

The construction of a modern agrologistic complex, BMB-NRC Agrologistics, is underway in Sharaf Rashidov district of Jizzakh region.

On July 11 this year, under the chairmanship of the President of the country, an expanded videoconference was held on further increasing the attraction of investments. The investment performance by industry and region, project implementation, and priority tasks scheduled by the end of the year were discussed.

The President set additional tasks to accelerate the implementation of investment projects and the development of foreign investment, indicating a specific algorithm of actions to attract investment in each industry and region.

As part of the execution of these instructions, several necessary measures are being implemented in Sharaf Rashidov district. At the same time, it should be noted that agricultural products grown on the generous land of Jizzakh have taken their rightful place in the markets of Asia and Europe.

Delivery of quality agricultural products grown by our farmers in a short time to the indicated destinations, creating vast opportunities for entrepreneurs, is essential.

The Uzbekistan – Russian joint venture BMB-NRC Agrologistics is implementing an investment project – an agrologistic complex worth 57 million 700 thousand US dollars in Sharaf Rashidov district of the region to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks determined by the Head of state at a videoconference meeting.

– The construction of this complex on 40 hectares of area is carried out in the form of a 3-stage module. The annual capacity of each involved stage of the complex for sorting, processing, and packaging agricultural products is 270,000 tons, and when all stages are involved, it is 810,000 tons of agricultural products, – says Mahmud Kholbutayev, Hokim of Sharaf Rashidov district. – Another feature of the complex is that it organizes the provision of customs, banking, logistics, laboratory, phytosanitary, veterinary, sanitary, epidemiological services, and environmental certification services based on the “one window” principle.

Another difference between this complex and others is that the certificate required by the Rosselkhoznadzor for exporting fruits and vegetables grown in Uzbekistan to Russia and other documents are presented in the complex itself.

At the same time, it is appropriate to note that the modern agro-logistic complex has reached a Cooperation Agreement with the international online trading platform alibaba.com and reputable Russian companies RUSFAIR, RGCA, and others.

Undoubtedly, this project, which is expected to be launched on October 1 this year, will bring the work of entrepreneurs engaged in export-import operations to a new level.
