On August 15, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Issues of further development of strategic partnership and alliance, as well as the expansion of multifaceted cooperation, were discussed during the conversation.

The Leaders exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan.

An agreement was reached to continue close contacts and interaction between the relevant agencies of the two countries on the issues of ensuring regional security and stability.
