Media representatives were briefed on the meetings and important events with the participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan this week.

The upcoming events for the next week were also announced. On April 13-14, the visit of the Chairperson-in-Office for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Sweden’s Foreign Minister, Ann Christin Linde, is expected.

“Our country seeks to further enhance collaboration with this important regional organization”, Sherzod Asadov said. – Uzbekistan is also interested in strengthening constructive dialogue and mutually beneficial relations with Sweden in all spheres. They have become especially active in recent years. Political consultations took place in November last and February this year. The visit of Sweden’s Foreign Minister will bring cooperation between our countries to a new level.

It is envisaged that the President will receive Mrs. Linde.

An online summit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan is also scheduled for the next week.

Following the briefing, it was noted that the establishment of the effective work of the President’s press pool has begun to strengthen cooperation between the President’s Press Service and the media. Representatives of several media operating in Uzbekistan were invited to the pool.
