The 5th Navoi District Election Commission held a briefing for the Presidential Elections in Uzbekistan.

At the event, the Chairman of the District Election Commission N. Togayeva informed about the ongoing work to organize early elections for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be held on July 9 this year, at a high level in full compliance with democratic principles.

It was noted that 413 precinct election commissions in the district are equipped with all the necessary materials and equipment based on the Election Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Work has been carried out to improve the knowledge and skills of members of the commissions.

The advance polling, which ended on July 5, was attended by 13,509 citizens who fulfilled their constitutional duty.

“Equal conditions are created for candidates for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from each political party participating in the elections, their election meetings are held at a high level, while observing the principle of equality”, Ms. Togayeva said. – No complaints or appeals have been received regarding the election campaign.

The Central Election Commission accredited more than 40 representatives of 14 media outlets of the region. Following the briefing they were given certificates of the appropriate form.
