Presidential candidate meets with Kashkadarya voters

Presidential candidate of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan Abdushukur Khamzayev met with Kashkadarya region’s voters.

He acquainted voters with his election program, which covers such issues as strengthening outreach activities to ensure the environmental safety of the country, parliamentary and public control over compliance with the requirements of the law in ecology and environmental protection, involving representatives of state bodies, economic entities, civil society institutions, non-governmental non-profit organizations, media, and others to implement the strategy and program for solving socio-economic and environmental problems.

The program also includes several plans to create favorable environmental conditions for residents of Kashkadarya region, in particular, increasing the level of drinking water supply, which is an urgent problem in Kashkadarya region, preventing the release of harmful gases into the atmosphere by 57 large industrial enterprises, 254 joint ventures and 5561 small industrial enterprises in the region. It is necessary to take measures to modernize and build new wastewater treatment facilities in areas with low efficiency of these facilities, as well as to increase compensation payments for releasing excess pollutants into the environment by 5-10 times.

It was also noted that the legal framework for the protection and rational use of land resources in the effective use of land resources and ensuring food security of the population will be improved based on the principles of smart and resource-saving agriculture.

The candidate noted that the pace of economic growth in the region has increased in recent years. It is necessary to improve these results and expand opportunities through the transition to a green economy in the future.

A sincere dialogue took place with party members and voters of districts. They noted changes in the region and expressed their opinions and suggestions.
