Presidential candidate meets with Bukhara voters

Presidential candidate of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Inoyatov met with voters from Bukhara region.

The meeting was attended by youth of the region, members of public organizations, representatives of civil society institutions, deputies of local councils, party activists, and media representatives.

The meeting was led by the Chairman of Bukhara Regional Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Zulfiya Tuyeva. After the proxy presented the candidate’s biography, Ulugbek Inoyatov delivered a speech and explained to the voters the content of the proposals and initiatives included in his program. In particular, initiatives for further developing a strong civil society in Uzbekistan were highlighted. Considering that civil society institutions serve as an important guarantee of ensuring democracy, legality, and individual freedom, it was noted that the candidate’s program includes several proposals aimed at expanding the direct participation of civil society institutions in public life and further strengthening public control.

The proposed initiatives, in particular, increasing the social activity of civil society institutions through the gradual transfer of state functions to them, transition to providing services to persons with disabilities based on social partnership, overall development of the practice of social and public-private collaboration between state bodies and civil society institutions serve to increase the role and importance of non-profit organizations, social activity and efficiency of their actions.

The candidate focused on the issue of expanding access to libraries. This initiative will create additional conditions for strengthening the social activity of the population and the development of civic education.

The Election Program provides for an increase in green spaces, recreation parks, and playgrounds in cities and residential areas, improving conditions for recreation for people with disabilities. It is proposed to encourage individual initiative and responsiveness of the population.

A warm and friendly atmosphere prevailed throughout the meeting. The voters asked the Presidential candidate questions and expressed their opinion.

Speakers called for supporting the Presidential candidate from the People’s Democratic Party, participating in the elections with an active civic position.
