Presidential Candidate from the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish” Alisher Qodirov voted at polling station No. 116 in Tashkent.

The right of citizens to elect and be elected to representative bodies of state power is enshrined in the country’s Constitution. Elections are the main sign of a democratic state governed by the rule of law, the free expression of the will of the people. The electoral system created in the country serves to the full realization of the most important political rights of citizens.

The election process is conducted in accordance with international law, the principles of transparency, multiparty system, freedom and equality. The fact that the legislation on the electoral system provides for free participation of citizens in the election campaign and voting, the secrecy of the ballot, which is carried out directly by each citizen, is of particular importance.
