Presidential candidate of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan Abdushukur Khamzayev met with voters from Andijan region.
The meeting was held by the candidate’s proxy in Andijan region H. Maqsumov.
Presidential candidate Abdushukur Khamzayev presented an election program covering several environmental protection targets, accelerating the transition to a green economy, improving the efficiency of using natural resources, and ensuring the population's right to a favorable environment.

Detailed information was provided on the planned work on the implementation of the state policy aimed at creating a favorable environment for the population and solving environmental problems of urgent importance for Central Asia and the whole world, such as the tragedy of the Aral Sea, issues of land and water resources, reduction of biological diversity, deterioration of the gene pool of flora, fauna and atmospheric air, accumulation of industrial and household waste.
It was also noted that measures would be taken to implement international norms of law into national legislation, accession to international legal instruments relevant to the country’s interests.

In the candidate’s program, special attention is paid to the consistent continuation of reforms aimed at ensuring the priority of environmental values, reliable protection of human rights and freedoms, freedom of speech, strengthening guarantees of media activities, and improving the effectiveness of justice. To achieve these goals, state financing of any economic activity that reduces citizens’ quality of life and harms the environment will be prohibited.

Important proposals were also put forward to improve the efficiency of the provision of public services through the wider introduction of the E-Government system, further strengthen guarantees of the independence of courts, strengthen guarantees for the enforcement of court decisions, fully implement the principles of equality and dispute in court proceedings, abolish outdated liability measures in the Administrative Responsibility Code, reduce the imposition of fines by administrative bodies that extend the powers of the courts, adoption of a separate program to transform the bar into an independent, reliable human rights institution.
The meeting participants discussed plans for further development of healthcare, education, science, and cultural-enlightenment sphere.
